Profile
Kingfisher’s Principal, Paul Goodman, received an MA in Environmental
Science from Boston University and a BA in Political Science from Lake
Forest College. Prior to founding Kingfisher Group in May 2001, Mr. Goodman
was a principal at Great Realty Advisors, a property valuation and real
estate services company, and participated in a team as a final round bidder
in a proposal to manage a $200,000 EPA Grant for the South Suburban Chicago
Brownfields Coalition (SSCBC) in February 2001. Prior positions include
senior consultant in the environmental practice at Arthur Andersen LLP,
and a Brownfields Project Manager at the City of Chicago Department of
Environment.
Mr. Goodman has authored several articles on brownfields, including: “Sweetening
the Deal,” Brownfield News, February 1998; “Brownfield
Tax Incentives,” Illinois Real Estate Journal, April 2000,
“Brownfields Update,” Illinois Real Estate Journal, July
2001, and “Not So Fast! Why the No Further Remediation Letter Does

Kingfisher Group is a member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and
the City Club of Chicago. Mr. Goodman is a former board member of the
Illinois Association of Environmental Professionals (IAEP), has received
the Occupational, Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 40-hour certification,
an AHERA accreditation for an Asbestos Inspector, and is a candidate for
the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation.
